ANAESTHESIA & STAY
The duration of the procedure is approximately 1 – 2 hours. It is carried out under local anaesthesia with sedation and is performed as a daycare procedure.
If the Gynecomastia mumbai consists primarily of excessive fatty tissue, VASER liposelection mumbai is used to remove the excess fat t a rough small incision, 3 – 4mm,placed in the underarm area.If excess glandular tissue is the primary cause of the breast enlargement, it needs to be excised, with a scalpel alone or in conjunction with VASER. An incision is made in an inconspicuous location on the edge of the areola. The excess glandular tissue, fat and skin is cut from around the areola and from the sides and bottom of the breast. The VASER cannula if required is inserted through the existing incisions. In extreme cases where large amounts of fat or glandular tissue have been removed, excess skin may have to be removed. Occasionally, a small drain is inserted through a separate incision to draw off excess fluids.
POST OP RECOVERY
Whether you’ve had excision or liposelection, you will feel some discomfort for a few days after surgery which can be controlled with medications. Swelling & bruising will persist for a while. You need to wear an elastic pressure garment continuously for a 2 – 3 weeks 24×7, and for a few weeks more at night. You can return to work as early as a day or two after surgery. Stitches will generally be removed about 1 to 2 weeks following the procedure. You need to avoid sexual activity for a week or two and heavy exercise for about 3 weeks. You need to stay away from any sport or job that risks a blow to the chest area for at least four weeks.
As with any surgery, there are risks. These include skin injury, bruising, bleeding, adverse reaction to anesthesia, and seroma formation. Liposuction mumbai can result in asymmetry, dimpling, wrinkling, unevenness and surface irregularities over the treated area which can usually be avoided by liposelection. Temporary or permanent changes in nipple or breast sensation might occur. In cases where there is too much excess tissue, there might be the need for a secondary procedure to remove more tissue after the skin has retracted
